This past February 2010, a two year old child lost consciousness after swallowing a sausage inside a Stone Mountain, Ga. Publix Super Market store, from a in-store sampler's tray. No fault on any of the parties.
Because unbeknownst to his mother, or the food server, the toddler served himself and now, needed a miracle to save his life. Screams of the mother and others gathered around, brought Kevin Livsey to the rescue.

Now, February, 03, 2010, duty called on her as she was sworn in by Superior Court Judge Clarke to serve again in the same capacity. Those in the county who knows her, have heard her say numerous times," I am honored, yet humbled to serve".

As DeKalb County school district learned its projected deficit had soared to nearly $115 million, budget committee members weighed in Thursday on possible tax hikes and program cuts and agreed on sweeping staff cuts.
Only 21 DeKalb County schools remain on the list for possible closure. The Citizens Planning Task Force charged with recommending at least four elementary schools to close next school year will look at these schools on Tuesday.
