SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING CLASS TO HOLD PATRIOTIC SHOW

(Lawrenceville, Ga., September 5, 2012) –  Collins Hill Park Aquatic Center is inviting the community to come and enjoy the fourth presentation of a synchronized swimming performance offering a tribute to our Veterans, other members of the military and their families on Saturday November 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. This non-competitive Synchronized Swimming group consists of girls between the ages of 8 and 14 who love to swim and are interested in furthering their swimming skills in an artistic and creative way.  The class is directed by Recreation Program Leader Kathryn Ralston, and taught by swim instructors Colleen Binkley, Emily Kiger and Lindsay Hardin and Bethany D’Alessandro

During the 10 week session, swimmers are introduced to the fundamentals of the sport of synchronized swimming through the practice of the skills, patterns and movements associated with the discipline. Each session ends with a choreographed performance. The performance on November 3 will be a patriotic themed showcase dedicated to our military members, veteran and their families.  This fun and entertaining show is free to everyone with a short reception following the performance. For information on the performance or to register for the class please visit our website atwww.gwinnettparks.com, or call Collins Hill Park Aquatic Center at 770-237-5647.

Great program for young girls looking for alternatives to speed swimming. Great teachers and the girls really learn synchronized swimming techniques!
