LIFT UP ATLANTA !

Welcome to the Fall of 2012. Thankfully the weather has cooled down tremendously. No need to run the air condition anymore. Perhaps you might wake up in the middle of the night, to grab one of grandma's old homemade quilts, before snuggling back in bed, for a peaceful sleep.Lift Up Atlanta needs your attention...NOW !  

However, with all of your pressing problems of your busy day, like how can I pay for all my home expenses. Along with the reality of knowing that you can't afford those pretty new shoes at the mall, that you saw in the shoe store window. Heck, I can barely keep my Atlanta Falcons' season tickets.   Let me ask you a question.   

Have you woke up in the middle of the night, and wondered what do the homeless children do, when she/he does not have an old grandma's quilt to block the chill? More importantly, where will these innocent children sleep, when they don't even have a roof or shelter, they can call HOME ?  

Atlanta, Georgia, I hate to make you think about your fellow man, woman, and child, but the reality is that they have no quilt...They have no roof. They have no shelter, and they have no one to help them to the proper attitude, in order to get an education, until NOW !  

LIFT UP ATLANTA is dedicated to helping the homeless and feeding the hungry, and clothed the young and elderly, alike. Headed by Rosalind Garner, with the community help, they will make sure to at give those in need of a helping hand, a hot meal this coming Thanksgiving!  

Lift UP Atlanta is a volunteer group focused on assisting non profit organizations in all endeavors and the homeless directly. We are dedicated to helping the homeless and feeding the hungry. Are you game to help our community?  

They will partner with other organizations to do hot meal programs, Christmas toy drives, food and clothing drives, furniture move ins for the homeless, Saturday fun days for the kids, Summer meal programs for kids, backpack and school supply drives, job readiness/self empowerment, other volunteer projects and  fundraisers etc.  

Thanksgiving food drive needs your help !    Lift Up Atlanta’s goal this year is to feed 100 needy families.  Please get together with your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, social group, church members etc and collect donations for this worthy cause.  The Thanksgiving baskets will go to homeless families and disadvantaged low income families. Make their holiday a special one for them.    We will pick up all donations by November 15th.

Our menu for the Thanksgiving basket is:   

Turkey , chicken, ham or food gift certificates Aluminum roasting pan Lettuce, celery, onions, potatoes Apples, oranges Stuffing mix Rolls or bread Cranberry sauce,   Macaroni and cheese,   Gravy, Canned vegetable and fruit Cake mix or fixings for a pie,   Apple juice or other juice.
