Snellville Middle welcomes its new principal
The South Gwinnett Cluster community soon will welcome a new school
principal as the Gwinnett County Board of Education has approved the new
leader for Snellville Middle. During its monthly Board meeting in
September, the School Board named Katise Menchan to be at the helm of the
middle school.

· Certification in Interrelated Special Education – University of Georgia
· Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision – University of Phoenix
· Specialist’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction – Lincoln Memorial
University
Ms. Menchan is a graduate of Gwinnett’s 2012 Aspiring Principal Program,
one of the leadership development initiatives within the Quality-Plus
Leader Academy.
She will transition to Snellville Middle in the coming weeks as Principal
Eric Thigpen moves to his new position as principal of South Gwinnett High.
