Collision at Anderson Livsey Elementary

By Tom Livsey, OurTown National News Editor,

Kaboom was the sound that rocked the community of the Promised Land Community, when a three car accident happened minutes before buses at Anderson Livsey Elementary started to carry the school's students home on Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred at the dangerous intersection of Lee Road and Centerville Highway, when a red car attempted to turn south on Centerville Hwy., while a black truck heding north, at obviously a high rate of speed t-boned the vehicle, sending it into a deadly spin, that wound up slamming into a grey Mazda, awaiting to turn east on Lee. Rd.

"It happened so fast, all I thought was that I am seeing my death heading right towards me," exclaims Mrs. Camille Wilson, who survived the accident, with the least amount of damage.

She adds, "The black truck came out of nowhere, and it hit the car so hard, that the truck made the car spin all the way around, and thank God, the car stopped, as it hit my front bumper. After I realized I was semi-o.k., I hopped out to check on the black woman who had her head slumped down. She raised her head briefly, then went out again" !

The woman in the red car was immediately attended to , by firemen, who had to pry her out of the vehicle. The man in the black truck , initially was standing outside his damaged front end, but soon, was too strapped to a gurney, both were taken to Eastside Hospital in Snellville, Ga.

There have been numerous meetings with the DOT, by concerned parents and community leader, to plea for a traffic light at this location. Thankfully there were no children involved in the incident, this time.
