Saturday, November 10, 2012 – 7 PM – 9 PM Art Stroll - (Stone Mountain OPO, Sassy’s and other local merchants will be open 6 PM – 9 PM so start your evening on E. Mountain Street; come early for the Art Stroll that starts at 7 PM. Sassy’s will be featuring a huge doll collection including MANY famous doll makers, and sales on jewelry and more. Come to the Village of Stone Mountain this Saturday night for an enjoyable evening of Christmas shopping, browsing, buying for your Christmas decorations and more in our stores and eating in our restaurants. Merchants will have light refreshments (St Mt OPO will have wine and cheese) and ART Station & the local art incubators will have wine and refreshments, also. The new Municipal Building will be open for tours and they will be exhibiting art provided by ART Station. The bagpiper will be playing in the gazebo at 7 PM.
At the Stone Mountain Old Post Office Emporium (5379 E. Mountain St, Stone Mountain GA 30083) - Open 10AM – 6PM, we sell antiques, vintage items, military items, fossils, jewelry (vintage, new & handmade), Stone Mountain handbags, Mary Kay products by appointment (call Charlene at 404/538-9404), fantastic greeting cards ($2.00 each) and we have a year round Christmas Shoppe with 2012 latest styles of ornaments. Make this year’s Christmas special with a “theme” tree of angels, modern “lady’s shoes, birds, owls or from the sea. We also have handmade (scroll wood work ornaments by George Helmke) and a brand new line of ornaments made from shells. We have a new shipment of Wickles Pickles, Relish, and Garden Mix for that special basket you are making.
Sunday Lunch - November 11, 2012 – Come share lunch with Eastern Star Chapter #205, from 11:30 – 2:30, for a small charge of $7 for adults and children under 12, $3.00. Masonic Lodge #449 is home for the Eastern Star and is located behind the U. S. Post Office on W. Mountain, at 840 VFW Drive, Stone Mountain GA 30083. Help the members of my chapter by treating yourself to an early Thanksgiving with turkey, dressing and the fixins .
November 16 & 17, 2012 – The Chiefs wife, Molly will have a sale of her homemade quilts at the Trail of Tears Indian Village on the south end of town across the railroad tracks.
