Anderson Livsey Elementary Opens To An Impressive Crowd !

As the Promised Land crowd poured in the school, eyes and smiles were afixed to their faces in amazement and glee. There was a high spirit of energy and pride. Several of the local businesses were there to greet parents and children alike, with either valuble information from Fitness 19 , or a tasty scoop of Bruster's Ice Cream .

 Both the Anderson and the Livsey families were there to share stories and shake hands with many of the impressed group.

Teachers stood in the doors of their spacious classroom to meet their future students. There was a scavenure hunt for the students to bget an idea of the layout of their school, while a frozen treat awaited at the end.

All of the Assistant Principals talked to the large crowds and shared their enthusiasm, along with Principal Twaites . The whole faculty is prepared for a great new year in their brand new school.

The Anderson Livsey Elementary School is located at 4521 Centerville Highway, Snellville, Georgia. The school is 143,106 sq. ft. and has a capacity for 1102 students. It sits on over 30 arces and consists of :

53- Large Classrooms,

1- Huge PE Facility,

1- Well Equipped Media Center,

2- Well Suppied Art Rooms,

2- Hi-Tech Computer Labs,

6- Engaging Special Ed Rooms,

The school is scheduled to open on August 2010.

The Open House lasted about two and a half hours on Thursday and drew well over four hundred curious guests.

Surely, there were those who wonder how long these smiles might last, but I'm reminded of mothers of the past, who warned if you make strange faces in your youth they might stick. Well hopefully, I hope those mothers were right this time.
