Atlanta Entertainment CEO On A Mission To Motivate the World Of Art

Gary Tavares, founder and CEO of Tavares Entertainment, is a positive minded writer, screenwriter, author, playwright, poet and motivational speaker to many of our nation's youth.Yet the most important title that he holds, is that he is a man of God. Mr. Tavares realized that his ability to write, inspire, and motivate others were all God given talents.

One of his early talents was the ability to foster and create a positive attitude from a negative childhood. Born in Queens, New York in March 1965, he came across rough times when he and his five brothers and sisters were abandoned by both parents. Gary was no older than four years old. But he was not deterred.

From that point, his hands bared the burden to get ahead. For his path was not made of gold, it was littered with potholes awaiting to rut him off his goals. Gary's constantly reminded himself of his life long motivation, "Its my turn to be on top". Not for fame or profit, but to be able to give back to the community in which he lives.

"In 1993 I found out I have the gift of writing. At first it was a way to channel my energy and escape. I later decided to use this gift to educate others as well as do something positive for our communities", explains Tavares

He continues, "I Wrote, Directed and Acted in four educational plays: "Justice by Force", (Gang violence-1995) " Our Streets Our Neighborhood, " (Neighbors taking back their streets-1997) " Mama it ' s My Baby, " (Teenage pregnancy-1999) and " Until Death Do Us Part. " (Domestic Violence-2000 and an encore presentation in 2001)".

Tavares began writing Screenplays in 2000. When he discovered the ability to write Screenplays of any genre (From action to horror/Fiction or Non-Fiction). Today Gary has finished three full-length movie scripts.

Currently, he has two books out, while working on about eight other Screenplays, and writing poetry .

The first book is entitled, "Inspirational and Educational Poems First Edition." It has twenty-four powerful poems that address tough youth social issues.

The second edition, "Inspirational and Educational Poems Second Edition," has twenty more powerful poems. It was published by iUniverse, Inc. in September of 2008, and now available for purchase .

His is also working on a couple of Novels (Sinful Affairs and the book version of Deceptive Vows).

Since 2004 before leaving California, Mr. Tavares spends a lot of his free time speaking with youth in schools all over the Atlanta Georgia area, now . He never forgot about his promise to give back, and is always accessible to our youth who needs motivation.

One of the youth centers where he mentors is Living Waters Global Lerning Center in Snellville,Ga.
