Michael Jackson to memorialized on the court of former LA Laker kings

The Staple Center might be the place where thousands will worship Michael Jackson.Just like millions had worshipped West, Magic, Shaq, and Kareem, in the past, its possible that millions will worship M.J. on Tuesday.

Several sources close to the family suggested that Tuesday was emerging as the likely day for the event, which could be watched by hundreds of millions of people around the world. AEG Live, which was promoting Jackson's comeback 50-date concert series at the O2 Arena in London, owns the Staples Centre in downtown Los Angeles where the Lakers play.

It is believed to have offered the venue, and the Nokia Theatre next door, to the Jackson family as a venue, although a spokesman for the Staples Centre said no event was yet confirmed.

The stadium holds 20,000 people and, if the Jackson family takes up the offer, large television screens would be placed outside for thousands of other fans to watch. Sources close to the family say they are fully committed to holding a public memorial for his fans and are being guided by "what Michael would have wanted".
