San Francisco will host a weekend full of events March 27-28. The Dons will host their annual Alumni Match, the 3rd Annual Funny Funraiser, and the 2009 season banquet. Saturday, the 27th, USF will host the Alumni Match in the afternoon, followed by the Funny Funraiser in the evening. Sunday will wrap up the eventful weekend with the annual banquet at Noon.
USF men's tennis won its fifth straight match Thursday, taking a 6-1 decision from visiting UAB at the Olympic Club in San Francisco. The Dons dominated the match, winning five singles points in straight sets.

The University of San Francisco was named one of the 33 winners in the NCAA Division I "Pack the House" Challenge, as announced by the national office. USF was named the West Coast Conference winner for the national-wide contest in which conferences and institutions compete to build attendance at women's basketball games.

Assistant Track & Field / Cross Country coach Tom Kloos will compete against athletes representing 16 national federations on March 7 at the North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Cross Country Championships, contested at Mt. Irvine, Tobago, Trinidad & Tobago.
San Francisco landed four student-athletes on the West Coast Conference Fall All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference today. Women's cross country earned two spots, and men's cross country and men's soccer had one each.
Heather Zytkewicz and Ganbileg Bor each their respective 5000m races Saturday at the Aggie Open in Davis, Calif. The first place victories were two of 22 top-10 finishes for the Dons at the event.

San Francisco baseball earned the 5-3 win over Aztec Invitational host San Diego State (6-10) on Sunday afternoon at Tony Gwynn Stadium. USF (9-8) finished the tournament at 2-2 and earned two spots on the All-Tournament Team.
