--> Colorado native and local author, Eric Hallam, is looking forward to the release of his first book, Big Dreams, of the Dream Seed book series.  According to his website DreamSeedBooks.com, he wrote this book while his wife, Kristin, was pregnant.  Feeling left out while his wife was “doing all of the work” he decided to write bed-time stories that he could read to their twins.  Eric was inspired the write Big Dreams one sleepless night during the third trimester of Kristin’s pregnancy.  He got up in the middle of the night and wrote most of the book between the hours of 1 and 3 am.  He then illustrated the book with clipart found on the internet before submitting it to Tate Publishing after being convinced to do so by his family.  Tate offered to publish the book which will be available in bookstores and from the Tate Publishing website, December 7th. Big Dreams is currently available at DreamSeedbooks.com, if you would like to get your copy before the book is available to the general public.

Today, almost a year after their twins were born, Eric and Kristin often help their kids fall asleep by reading stories, taking turns making up stories that typically rhyme or singing nursery rhyme songs that end a different way every time they are sung.

Eric started a list of 100 things he wanted to do in his life after reading The Aladdin Factor by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen in February of 2006. Since starting the list he has focused on completing a few items every year. In 2006, Eric ran his first Marathon (#22), in 2007 Eric road his bicycle from San Diego, CA to Tybee Island, GA completing the Elite Transcontinental PAC Tour (#28). In 2008, Eric published and sold his first book (#4 and #5).
