    Brandon Roy made a surprising return from knee surgery and scored 10 points Saturday, and the host Portland Trail Blazers evened their Western Conference playoff series with the Phoenix Suns at two games each with a 96-87 victory. LaMarcus Aldridge had 31 points and 11 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who unexpectedly activated Roy shortly before the game, eight days after he had arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee.

    Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy has a torn meniscus in his right knee, and his status for the playoffs is uncertain. Roy missed Monday night's game against Oklahoma City and will also sit out Wednesday's regular-season finale against Golden State. He will need surgery that will keep him out from four to six weeks. But Roy said he might try to play with the injury in the playoffs because doctors told him it could not worsen.
