Andre Miller scored a career-high 52 points, including 25 in the fourth quarter and overtime, and Juwan Howard hit a jumper with 44.8 seconds left to lift Portland over host Dallas. Travis Roy scored 23 points, LaMarcus Aldridge added 19 points and 12 rebounds, and the Portland Trail Blazers rallied in the fourth quarter for an 85-81 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night. Dirk Nowitzki had 27 points and 9 rebounds in his return to the Dallas lineup, and J. J. Barea added 22 points for the Mavericks, who had won six of seven.
Portland, which lost center Greg Oden for the season Saturday with a knee injury, began a four-game trip Monday in New York with just nine healthy players.
The Knicks overpowered the short-handed Portland Trail Blazers on Monday and extended their winning streak to three games. They have won four of their last five games.
