In preparation for Halloween, join Dr. Wes Ryle to discuss the possibilities for extraterrestrial life in the Universe. He will begin with early theories about life on Mars and make comparisons to what we know about the prospects for life on Mars today. The presentation will also feature discussions on extrasolar planets and our chances of finding another 'Earth'. Eexamine the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) program and their ongoing mission to detect transmissions from an alien species. Weather permitting, the presentation then heads to The Bank of Kentucky Observatory after the lecture for a viewing of the Moon, Jupiter, and other astronomical objects.
