There have been listings on Craigslist recently in Nampa that there are car burglaries going on in south Nampa.  Someone is checking cars for doors that are left unlocked, entering the cars and rifling through the contents of the car; and taking anything of value.

This is preventable. 

Do not leave your car unlocked.  Do not park your car in the in front of your home with your garage door opener attached to your visor, or in plain sight.  If you want to leave your garage door opener in your car, hide it in a place that only you know of in your car.  Do not leave valuables in your car.  And certainly, do not leave valuables out in the open in your car.  Anything that can be exchanged for money in a pawn shop is worth stealing.  Do not make yourself a victim.
