CELEBRATE SAFE COMMUNITIES With the CWC'S 2ND ANNUAL NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH BLOCK PARTY
SATURDAY OCTOBER 15TH, 2011 VETERANS PARK PAVILION 9:00 AM 2:00 PM
One of the highlights of the event is the softball game between the Sheriff Deputies of Bravo District vs the Neighborhood Watch Team. Last year the Deputies won 10-4 and were presented a 2 ft traveling trophy. Both teams are determined to win it this year, but in truth - it is just a friendly game and I'll be rooting for both teams. Both teams have tshirts this year and will be practicing before the game which starts at 9am Saturday. The Deputies are all playing on their own time, some of them just coming off a shift and others just before going onto a shift.
The softball game represents the partnership between the Neighborhood Watch groups and the Lee County Sheriff's Deptuties of Bravo district as they work together reporting crime and catching thieves.
There will be activites for kids, and an open mic jam session. There will be hotdogs, drinks and baked goods for sale as well.
