WEST LAFAYETTE -- West Lafayette mayor John Dennis will cut the ribbon to mark the completion and official opening of the citys Village Fitness Trail at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11.

active transportation for getting to work, school, and other places to which
people must go.
The West Lafayette Traffic Commission
will present a forum on roundabouts at their May Traffic Commission meeting. This forum is open to the public and will include a
presentation and discussion on modern roundabouts.
West Lafayette residents are being asked to paint the town red this spring and summer by planting annuals that bloom with red flowers, such as impatiens, petunias, geraniums, salvia plants, begonias and others. The campaign is being launched by the West Lafayette in Bloom Committee.
In 1888, West Lafayette was created when the two towns of Kingston and Chauncey combined. The Lutz and Chauncey families, prominent landowners in the new town, became namesakes for two of the city's streets which have remained near the heart of the city's oldest neighborhood for over 120 years.
