LAFAYETTE -- Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invite the public to a community open house at its newly built South Lafayette Meetinghouse, Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Covenant Church is hosting the Loeckens, an Alpharetta, Ga. family of six who left a comfortable suburban life two years ago to travel the country in an RV, partnering with churches and social service agencies and encouraging others toward a life of serving.

Pope Benedict XVI has named Msgr. Timothy L. Doherty, 59, as bishop of Lafayette, Ind., and accepted the resignation of Bishop William L. Higi of Lafayette.

Evangelist Brad Luzadder will be part of a two-day service/concert at East Tipp Baptist Church at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22. Luzadder has sung with groups such as the Northmen, The Sonshine Singers, The Sounds of Hope, The Gaithers and others.
