LAFAYETTE -- Indiana University Health Arnett is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Wang, MD joined our Family Medicine and Sports Medicine departments in July.
Dr. Wang began seeing patients at IU Health Arnett Family Medicine and IU Health Arnett Orthopedics and Sports Medicine on Aug. 6. Dr. Wang will also be serving as the team physician for McCutcheon High School in Lafayette.
Dr. Wang received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at West Virginia University. He is board certified in Family Medicine and is board eligible in Primary Care Sports Medicine.
Dr. Wang’s clinical interests include sports medicine, industrial medicine, musculoskeletal ultrasound, injection therapies, concussion management and preventative care. Dr. Wang believes physicians should always treat the patient, not the diagnosis. He chose to practice family medicine because he feels it is the cornerstone of medicine, health education and preventative care. He completed additional training in sports medicine and is committed to helping patients return to the activities they love, whether it is running a marathon or playing with their grandchildren.
Dr. Wang is married and has two daughters. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, fly fishing and making his daughters laugh.
Indiana University Health Arnett Family Medicine physicians provide primary healthcare for the entire family -- infants and children, teens, adults and seniors. They provide services at Greater Lafayette medical offices and regional medical centers.
