LAFAYETTE – On Friday, April 20, Wabash Center will host its’ 10th anniversary Wines on the Wabash fundraiser.
This years’ event will be held from 7–10 p.m. at the Purdue Memorial Union North Ballroom. Tickets are $45 per person. All proceeds raised from the event benefit program services at Wabash Center.
The evening will include over 100 different wines to taste; imported and micro brews; and food samplings from local favorites. All attendees will receive a souvenir wine glass. Participants may purchase a chance to win a $1,000 diamond sponsored by Stall & Kessler Diamond Center. Participants may also purchase chances for a 50/50 drawing and raffle baskets.
Tickets to Wine on the Wabash may be purchased at the Village Bottle Shoppe and Wabash Center.
The mission of Wabash Center is to optimize the quality of life for people with disabilities or special needs. Founded in 1953, Wabash Center’s divisions include Kids’ Connection, a nationally accredited childcare center for children with and without disabilities; Adult Day Services, providing rehabilitation and vocational training, counseling and case management; Assisted Living Services, offering group homes, supported living, and in-home services; Greenbush Industries, where adults perform work contracted from area businesses; and EmployAbilities, offering employment services for people with disabilities and special needs.
