Entries open for Art on the Wabash

WEST LAFAYETTE – “Art on the Wabash, a Local Artists’ Fair” will be held at West Lafayette ’s Tapawingo Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, September 16.

Participation in the juried fair is open to artists living in 15 Indiana counties: Benton, Boone, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Pulaski, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Warren and White counties.

“The riverside setting and abundant shade trees in Tapawingo Park make this an especially charming setting for the art fair,” said Beverly Shaw, Art on the Wabash committee chair. “We always draw a good crowd, who appreciate the opportunity to visit with artists in person.”

Entry guidelines and application forms are available from Tippecanoe Arts Federation, 638 North St. , Lafayette , www.tippecanoearts.org , 765-423-ARTS.

Applications and a $15-per-artist entry fee will be accepted until 5 p.m., Friday, May 4, at Tippecanoe Arts Federation. A professional artist will jury entries, and artists will be notified by June 1. Booth rental fee for accepted artists will be $25.

Now in its seventh year, Art on the Wabash is presented by the City of West Lafayette with assistance from Tippecanoe Arts Federation and sponsorship funding from KitchenArt, The Store for Cooks.
