New Chauncey Neighborhood schedules town halls

WEST LAFAYETTE -- This year the New Chauncey Neighborhood Annual Meeting will take place as part of a series of three Town Hall meetings. 

The meetings are scheduled and topics are as follows:

Town Hall Meeting #1 - Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 6:30-8:30 pm

Where: WL High School Cafeteria

Review Neighborhood & Land Use Plan based on the March 2, 2010 visionary workshop.

Town Hall Meeting #2 - Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 6:30-8:30 pm

Where: WL High School Cafeteria

Review three options for the Neighborhood Land Use Plan and economic impact of each. 

Town Hall Meeting #3 - Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 6:30-8:30 pm

Where: Morton Community Center

The purpose of the meetings will be to provide information to, and gather input from, neighborhood stakeholders with regard to the Neighborhood Land Use Plan. 

The draft plan is broken up into five principle chapters and an appendix which contains the summary report of the 2010 Visioning Meeting.

Chapters 1 and 2 contain an introduction and profile of existing conditions.

Chapter 3 contains the vision, goals and objectives of the plan.

Chapter 4 contains specific implementation strategies connected with the vision, goals and objectives outlined in Chapter 3.

Chapter 5 is the unfinished Future Land Uses chapter and contains updated future land use categories and the map as it was left after the last Steering Committee meeting in November of 2011.
