LAFAYETTE – With just four weeks remaining in the annual community campaign, the Lafayette Family YMCA hosted the third Report Meeting.
Volunteers and community members gathered to recognize progress toward the $4.75 million campaign goal. Campaign leadership announced a total of $3,018,941 representing 63.6 percent of goal.
The United Way of Greater Lafayette funds organizations that provide access to healthcare services and promote healthy lifestyles. The Lafayette Family YMCA supports healthier living and encourages connections through fitness, sports and fun. The YMCA makes programs that promote healthier living available to as many members of our community as possible by offering financial assistance to low income families via membership scholarships.
Last year, more than 1,200 YMCA members benefited from the organization's open door policy. United Way of Greater Lafayette promotes access to healthcare via the FamilyWize Prescription Drug Discount card. This program has saved Tippecanoe County residents over $757,000 since its inception. Cards are available at Marsh and Pay Less pharmacies, United Way's participating organizations and United Way of Greater Lafayette.
