GLC looking for Dickens of a Christmas participants

From Lafayette/ West Lafayette, Indiana

LAFAYETTE – Calling all crafters and entertainers! That’s the word coming from Greater Lafayette Commerce, host of the 16th Annual Dickens of A Christmas to be held throughout downtown Lafayette on Saturday, December 1, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

“We are seeking artists willing to paint, carve, draw, sculpt or use any medium to create their art, and crafters who would demonstrate needlework, card-making, sewing, doll-making or any other handmade craft,” said Erin Nelson, program manager at Greater Lafayette Commerce.

“We also want entertainers—mimes, musicians, poets, actors, dancers—anyone who can give a performance,” she said.

Downtown shops will provide inside space for anyone interested in volunteering to demonstrate or perform. Street performers are also welcome.

“This is a popular community event and an opportunity to showcase area talent and create interest in it,” she said.

Individuals or groups of any age or talent who are interested in participating should contact her at 765/742-4044, ldavis@greaterlafayettecommerce.com .
