LAFAYETTE – Lafayette Jeff senior guard Rashad Richardson is OurTown.com’s student-athlete of the month for February.
Richardson, bouncing back from a wrist injury that cost him the bulk of his junior year, is averaging 22.9 points per game for the Bronchos, leading Jeff to a 7-5 record going into its Jan. 27 weekend games. He had a career-high 32 points Saturday against Delphi. His total leads all area basketball players.
He also leads Jeff in rebounds with 8.4 per game, with 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals per game as well.
Richardson has been a starter at Lafayette Jeff for the past three years, where he played part of the time with his older brother Roddy, who is playing college basketball at Calumet College of St. Joseph.
