LAFAYETTE -- For participants who have registered for the Indianapolis Mini Marathon, Club NewTone, along with Tri-N-Run, offer a training program to help runners and walkers prepare to reach their fitness goal.
Starting the first week of February, this training program will include: weekly running schedules, strength training and cross training at Club NewTone, and Saturday group runs hosted by Tri-N-Run.
The fee for registration is $30 for Club NewTone members and $40 for non-members. In addition, participants will receive a dry-fit running shirt, body composition and measurement assessment at the beginning and end of the program through Club NewTone. Hydration, nutrition support and education will also be provided during the group training runs.
A clinic will be held at Tri-N-Run the first week in February for registered participants of this training program, where professional shoe fitting and pronation analysis will be available to ensure proper footwear for the event.
