LAFAYETTE – Hunger Hike 2010 presented by Bison Financial Group, the largest event in the Greater Lafayette area to aid the homeless and hungry, will take place Sunday, Sept. 19 at Riehle Plaza from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

The hike will go to be benefit Lafayette Urban Ministry, Food Finders Food Bank and St. Tom’s Haiti Project.

Lingering unemployment continues to make it difficult for families to get enough food. One in four American children are hungry. The Hunger Hike is the community's largest fund raising event for food programs.

Bring donations to Riehle Plaza on Sunday, Sept 19th and hike two miles on the Wabash Heritage Trail. You can go to www.hungerhike.org to print registration form directly from the site. You can create your own personal fundraising webpage online. Print that out and bring it with you too.

Also 5K route for runners with $10 registration fee. Collect pledges just like walkers, but enjoy a separate, marked & timed 5K route.

And Texas Roadhouse will donate 10 percent to Hunger Hike Monday, Sept. 21 with coupon.
