LAFAYETTE -- At an exciting and enlightening Executive Roundtable Wednesday night (Feb. 3), current Tippy Connect president Chad Fish announced that he would be stepping down from his role with the group and Travis Brown will take over as president.
“I have been honored to lead Tippy Connect,” Fish said at the event. “This group has provided me countless opportunities that I am truly grateful for. It is with mixed emotion that I am stepping down as President of Tippy Connect to accept a position with Everest Advertising in Denver, Colo.
“I am confident that our new president will continue to advance this organization in the right path based on his personal skills and drive, and the strong foundation that my fellow Tippy Connect members and I have created over the past three years. I am very excited to announce that Travis Brown will be stepping in as the next president of Tippy Connect,” he said.

After Fish’s remarks he passed the microphone, and metaphorically the leadership torch, to Travis Brown.
“I am thrilled to be stepping into this position,” Brown said. “Chad and all of the hard working members of Tippy Connect have developed a great organization that cultivates excellent young professionals in this community. I thank Chad for all of his hard work and dedication to this group. Best of luck with the move and your new career, you will be missed.”
President and CEO of Greater Lafayette Commerce Joe Seaman commented on the change of power.
“We are so fortunate to have such great young leadership in this community,” Seaman said. “It has been a pleasure getting to know Chad and watching his development and the development of Tippy Connect. We are very excited and supportive of his new career opportunities, though we will miss him in the community.
“This is a natural step for leadership in our community. I believe that Tippy Connect will continue to thrive under Travis’ leadership. I hope the community embraces Travis with the same enthusiasm that he has for Tippy Connect,” Seaman said.
Brown is the president of the TBI Group. He speaks on motivation and leadership across the country. A Lafayette native, Mr. Brown has spent the last 12 years in executive management, leadership consulting, business ownership and motivational speaking.
Brown uses real life experiences and stories to educate, motivate and entertain his many audiences.
The Tippy Connect Executive Roundtable focused on leadership advice from the top executives in the Greater Lafayette community. Tippy Connect and Travis Brown hosted the panel consisting of Gary Lehman, president of Fairfield Manufacturing; David Bathe, chancellor of Ivy Tech; Valerie Clinton, VPO of State Farm Insurance; Gary Henriott, president of the Henriott Group; Dewayne Moffitt, executive director of the Hanna Center, and Tom Easterday, senior vice president of Subaru of Indiana Automotive.
Members of the community and Tippy Connect had the opportunity to ask an array of questions about their careers, mistakes, learning experiences and their take on leadership.
