LAFAYETTE -- Businesses interested in finding spring, summer or fall interns — and students interested in internships — are invited to participate in the First Annual Internship Fair Wednesday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the National Guard Armory, 5128 Haggerty Lane, Lafayette.
Participating employers are asked to register by Friday, Dec. 3, at www.greaterlafayettecommerce.com or by contacting Sascha Harrell, economic development program manager, email@example.com or 765-807-5933. The fee is $75 for businesses, $50 for nonprofit and government organizations. The fee includes use of a table and two chairs, access to electricity and the Internet and a light lunch.
Businesses may seek interns for paid, unpaid or class-credit participation. Businesses may also inquire about scholarship funding to pay student interns, available through Tecumseh Area Partnership Inc.
Students from seniors in high school through college are invited to attend the event. Admission is free.
The Internship Fair is hosted by Greater Lafayette Commerce with sponsorship from Tecumseh Area Partnership Inc.
