LAFAYETTE -- Joe Peters will be performing at the Lafayette Farmers Market on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 7:30 a.m.–noon.
After living 10 years in Southeast Asia, Peters settled in West Lafayette in 2006 to be near his family. Peters plays guitar and writes contemporary folk songs with both international and domestic themes of current and historical events, social concerns as well as relationships.
Fresh fruits and vegetables, kettle corn, meats, free range farm fresh eggs, flowers, honey, dried herbs, baked goods, arts and crafts are all examples of items available at selected times during the 2009 Market season which runs through the end of October.
The Lafayette Farmers Market, managed by the Downtown Development Council of Greater Lafayette Commerce, will be open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and from 4–7 p.m. on Thursdays.
In addition, the Sagamore West Farmers Market will be in operation on Wednesdays through Oct. 28. Information regarding this market can be obtained at www.westlafayette.in.gov/departments/parksandrec/ .
