LAFAYETTE -- The Lafayette Flute Choir will be performing at the Lafayette Farmers Market on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 8:30–10 a.m.
Danny Weiss, local saxophonist and clarinetist, will perform from 10:00 a.m.–noon.
Fresh melons, sweet corn, tomatoes, green beans, kettle corn, meats, flowers, honey, dried herbs, baked goods, arts and crafts are all examples of items available at selected times during the 2009 Market season which runs through the end of October.
The Lafayette Farmers Market, managed by the Downtown Development Council of Greater Lafayette Commerce, will be open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and on Thursdays from 4–7 p.m. in Downtown Lafayette on Fifth Street between Main and Columbia streets. The market season runs through the end of October.
In addition, the Sagamore West Farmers Market will be in operation on Wednesdays through Oct. 28. Information regarding this market can be obtained at www.westlafayette.in.gov/departments/parksandrec/.
