Tango dancers will sweep silently across the sidewalks of New York amid the frenzy of commuters during the evening rush hour on September 11, in an expression of freedom, compassion and connection through dance. The event, TangoCommute NYC, is planned at nine stations and eleven squares or public plazas in and around the New York metropolitan area (including Columbus Circle, Port Authority, and Times Square in Midtown West), from 6-7 pm on the seventh anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.
