DIGITAL BOOKMOBILE

From CinciPulse - The Pulse of the City

The Digital Bookmobile National Tour is coming to Cincinnati on July 30 and 31 to showcase the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County’s eBook and audiobook download services. At these free events, readers of all ages will learn how to download eBooks from the Library through interactive demonstrations and high-definition instructional videos.

Tuesday, July 30: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Bond Hill Branch Library

Wednesday, July 31 : 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Fountain Square, Downtown Cincinnati

Everyone touring the Digital Bookmobile will receive an entry form for a chance to win a NOOK™ e-reader. A set of ear buds will be given away to those who attend (while supplies last).

“The Library offers a robust collection of eBooks but many of our customers don’t know they can borrow eBooks from the Library.  This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about all the options available through the Library,” said Kim Fender, The Eva Jane Romaine Coombe Director of the Public Library. “eBooks are convenient and can be downloaded from home and are returned automatically, making it impossible to accrue fines.”

A gadget gallery —featuring Kindle, iPod touch®, Android™ tablet, NOOK™, Sony® Reader™, BlackBerry®, Windows® Phone, and more—will help visitors discover portable devices that are compatible with the Library’s download service.
