The University of Cincinnati will welcome international representatives from the 2012 World Choir Games in a special public event scheduled for Monday, July 9 . This welcome ceremony will commence with a 1 p.m. performance by the Cincinnati Children’s Choir , an ensemble-in-residence at UC’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), followed by a brief reception and then an official welcome to the World Choir Council at 2 p.m.
These events are free and open to the community. Both the performance and welcome ceremony will take place in UC’s Corbett Auditorium in CCM Village.
A brief reception will be held in the Atrium of UC’s Corbett Center for the Performing Arts before the welcome ceremony.
The official advisory board of the World Choir Games, the World Choir Council includes renowned choral leaders from more than 80 countries. The Council serves as a platform for international representatives to meet and discuss the position of the choral arts in different countries around the world.

The Cincinnati Children’s Choir performance and World Choir Council welcome ceremony are free and open to the general public.
Parking is available in the CCM Garage (at the base of Corry Boulevard off of Jefferson Avenue) and additional garages throughout the UC campus.
