NOVELIST BRAD MELTZER AT LIBRARY

Bestselling novelist, non-fiction writer, TV show creator and award-winning comic book author Brad Meltzer will be discussing his books, including the recently published “Heroes for My Daughter” via Skype at the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, 800 Vine Street.

This is the Main Library’s first author event using Skype. It will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, in the Huenefeld Tower Room. It is free and open to the public.

Meltzer is well-known for his political thriller stories, including “The Book of Fate,” “The Book of Lies” and “The Inner Circle.” Before penning “Heroes for My Daughter,” Meltzer wrote “Heroes for My Son.”

He was the co-creator of the television series “Jack & Bobby,” which ran for one season (2004–2005) on the WB television network. Meltzer also hosts the History series, “Brad Meltzer's Decoded,” which premiered Dec. 2, 2010.

His work in comics includes a six-issue story arc for DC Comics' Green Arrow, the controversial 2004 miniseriesIdentity Crisis,” an arc of Joss Whedon's “Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight” comic books, and contributing to “Superman/Batman No. 26.”

Signed copies of Meltzer’s “Heroes for My Son” and “Heroes for My Daughter” will be available for purchase at the event through Joseph-Beth Booksellers.
