For the past few columns I have been suggesting clothing, shoes and accessories that I love, but how to put them all together, that’s the question. So I have put together some looks that definitely work for the office. Each piece can easily be paired with something else to give you a lot of diversity at a reasonable price.
Let’s start with the pencil skirt. This is a classic silhouette that looks good on everyone and gives you a polished professional look. This one from Nordstroms comes in several colors, but I have chosen the cream. It is light and airy and lends itself to many possiblilities http://bit.ly/J4xnax and it is only $59.
I have paired it with the Wallis polka dot frill blouse for $52 http://bit.ly/J4xnax . In addition to looking great with the cream skirt, it would also look good with neutral slacks in black, brown or cream.
To complete the skirt and polka dot blouse ensemble, you need a great pair of shoes. How about these Steve Madden Magestee wedges at Piperlime for $69 http://bit.ly/J4xnax .
And every woman needs a great tote for carrying all those essentials to and from work. This faux ostrich tote from Target fills the bill and is only $29. Looks like it will give you plenty of room for that bottle of water and extra pair of shoes. http://bit.ly/IRkH4R
