Downtown is "going green" this week and red too! An e-waste recycle event, sponsored by the Eighth Street Design District, takes place tomorrow. Bring your unwanted cell phones, fax machines and other e-items to greensource where Ez Housh and his team will recycle them with help from 2trg, a certified electronics recycler.
Students from third to seventh grade will be walking the runway in a recycled costume contest at the Earth Day celebration at Sawyer Point this Saturday, along with more than 70 vendors and exhibitors. I wonder how many Ninja Turtle costumes are still out there?
One more "green" event is going on now at Fountain Square - EcoSculpt - a three week installation of original sculptures made from recycled materials. Take a stroll through the Square today and you will see some amazing pieces - the Sports Man and Windmill Putt are terrific!
The first "Bark in the Park" at Great American Ballpark is coming up on April 24. What a fun way to see the Reds play the Giants with your dog by your side. Truman and I hope to see you there! Plus, the first 5,000 guests receive a collapsible pet bowl which sure comes in handy when you travel.
The brand new, two-level Washington Park Garage opens tomorrow at 9:00 am. Come park and watch the final touches taking place in the park
