  Improved weather conditions, helped the Xavier men's golf team card better rounds on the final day of the Robert Kepler Invitational. Senior Sebastian MacLean led the Musketeers, finishing tied for second in the tournament.

 

MacLean utilized five birdies, including four over six holes, to bring in an even-par 71 on the final day for an 8-over-par 221 total. MacLean would tie with Ohio's Paul Grauer and the pair were one shot off of the lead.

 

Freshman Korey Ward brought in another top-20 finish, carding a 5-over-par 76 for a 15-over-par 228. Sophomore Yuki Kato ended with a 20-over-par 233 tournament total after carding a 6-over-par final round. Senior Chris Burger had a 23-over-par 236 total after shooting a 12-over-par 83 in the third round. Junior Aaron Siekmann improved from his first day, bringing in a 3-over-par 74 for a 28-over-par 241.

 

As a team, Xavier finished in a tie for fifth with host Ohio State with a tournament total of 57-over-par 909. Kent State won the tournament with a 46-over-par 898. SMU's Max Buckley earned medalist honors with a 7-over-par 220.
