PEARL HARBOR DAY

From CinciPulse - The Pulse of the City

Today is Pearl Harbor Day...the day the Japanese bombed the Hawaiian naval base plunging the United States into World War II.  Over 2400 American military personnel were killed in the attack and over 1200 were injured.

For some reason Pearl Harbor Day seems to be a non-event this year...not much mention of it on the news or the search engines, not even a special logo on Google.  The number of  Pearl Harbor survivors is dwindling on this 69th anniversary of the attack, most of them are in their 90's, but I'm sure they will never forget that day and we shouldn't forget it either.

Let's take a moment to offer a tribute to all of those who were at Pearl Harbor on that life-changing day.  To them and all those who fought in World War II, we salute you.
