Broadway Across America

From CinciPulse - The Pulse of the City

Broadway Across America has announced its 2009-2010 season and it looks like a good one. It starts with “White Christmas” in November.  I saw this in New York last year and while it is not the greatest musical ever made, the songs, dancing and great costumes really put you in the holiday mood.

In January, you will be able to see “Spring Awakening.” I haven’t seen this one, but it has won 8 Tony Awards, so if you are a fan of the Broadway musical, you won’t want to miss it.   March brings Alfred Hitchcock’s “39 Steps” to town.  I’ve always been a Hitchcock fan so I’m really looking forward to this one.   In April take the whole family to see “Mary Poppins”.  If it as even half as good as the New York production, you will love it.   The May offering “Legally Blonde” is one of my personal favorites. It is fun, energetic and will have you tapping your feet and feeling great as you leave the theatre.   June brings Dreamgirls. Haven’t seen it but I loved the movie.    Season tickets are available now by calling 800-294-1816.   "A Chorus Line" is currently playing at the Aronoff.  If you haven't seen it and you love a good Broadway musical you won't want to miss it.   It hasn't been to Cincinnati for several years and it is worth seeing twice.
