CINCINNATI — If you’re looking for something to keep the kids occupied during holiday break in a fun an educational way, you might want to take a walk on the wild side. The Cincinnati Parks Department is hosting its Winter Break Camp programs at Cincinnati Park Nature Centers for kindergarten through third-grade children. The exploration camps include trail hikes, nature games, crafts and other hands-on activities presented by Naturalists with the Cincinnati Parks. Kids can attend more than one program, as the activities will vary at each center. Bundle up your kids and have them pack a lunch for the camps, which run 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Fees are $15 for city residents and $20 for non-city residents. Camps are as follows: The Caldwell Nature Preserve program, 430 W. North Bend Road, is Dec. 23. Register by Dec. 22 at (513) 761-4343. The California Nature Preserve program, at 5400 Kellogg Ave., is set for Dec. 29. Register by Dec. 26 at (513) 231-8678. The LaBoiteau Nature Preserve program, at 5400 Lanius Lane, is set for Dec/ 30. Register at (513) 542-2909.
