    By Andy Furman...I am often amazed with my brothers and sisters in the local sports media. How can you ride that roller coaster each day? How can you go up and down with every win or loss by the Cincinnati Reds? Hey, you're not foolin us, really you're not. And honestly, you can't be that jacked up in mid-May for the Reds can you? That's why I chose to occupy this space. I mean there's more to sports and life- than a baseball teams win or loss in the middle of May. Take this for instance. Former NFL lineman Ray Edwards is 4-0 in his professional boxing career. Edwards, who spent seven seasons in the NFL playing defensive tackle with the Minnesota Vikings and the Atlanta Falcons, now makes his living squaring off against huge men intent on punching him in the head as frequently as possible.     Xavier University sophomore golfer Korey Ward (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) has been selected to participate in the NCAA Mens Golf Championship May 16-18 in Columbus, Ohio. Ward will compete in the 54-hole regional tournament at the Ohio State University Golf Club Scarlet Course. There will be 13 teams and 10 individuals competing at the regional at OSU.This will be the third straight year and the 10th time in 13 years that the Xavier mens golf program has sent an individual or the team to an NCAA Regional.
