A SITE WE LOVE 7/25/2008 1:22:49 PM

Since you clearly don't have time to track down carpet cleaners for quotes, they can come to you via Matchpoint.com. Click on a type of service (and there are a lot!) and fill out a little form with what you need. Within a few minutes, you’ll have several quotes from local businesses, but they won’t have your personal information (the site’s the intermediary until you make a decision). Plus it’s totally free.

Ways To Save
Liquidation Sale - Sheets, Quilts,Cookware, etc. 11/7/2008 12:21:17 AM

Available at:   Linens ‘n Things stores & www.lnt.com

What I think:   It's always a shame to see stores go out of business and Linens ‘n Things is no exception.  Yet there can be an upside for consumers in the form of deeply discounted items for the home.

Everything is on sale now at their website and remaining stores - with no return policy, of course.

Now here's an interesting twist:  Linens ‘n Things is no longer accepting their own off coupons - but other sellers, liked Bed, Bath & Beyond are accepting them as "competitor coupons."  Go figure.

So, as I mentioned in a recent blog, never toss out those coupons, no matter who they come from, no matter what the date.  If you have saved the Linens ‘n Things coupons, you can still use them at Bed & Bath, just as I did yesterday.

I used 12 Linens'nThings coupons shopping at Bed, Bath & Beyond, and saved 20% on everything I bought!  That let me keep my Bed&Bath coupons for future use.  I thought that was kind of brilliant if I must say so myself.

Once Linens ‘n Things becomes history, those coupons won't work, so use whatever ones you've got now!
